Woman on swing looking at beach sunset

Words You Can Sip On

The words I want to say won’t come

But the feeling to express pushes upwards, like a lump

Caught in my throat with a delivery date of NOW

With a simple desire of wanting to be heard out loud.

Uncorked, released, & spilled out

Into a crystal glass with lips that can distinguish between a crisp finish

And a round, full-bodied flavor

Guly my words down, enjoying how they awaken the senses

Ask for me, I want that type of appreciation

For the song

I took so long

To sing out loud.
